Hot-Dip Galvanizing
Hot-dip galvanizing is a coating method performed by immersing steel and iron structures in a molten zinc bath at approximately 450°C. During this process, zinc forms a metallurgical bond with the steel surface, creating an extremely durable coating that cannot be scraped off. Coating thickness varies between 50–150 microns and provides three-way protection: physical barrier, cathodic protection, and self-healing. It is preferred for construction steel, structures, fences, pipes, lattice systems, galvanized sheets, and industrial equipment.
Features
- 50–150 micron thick zinc coating
- Superior adhesion with metallurgical bond
- Cathodic (sacrificial anode) protection
- 50+ years corrosion resistance (in suitable environments)
- Maintenance-free long-lasting surface
- Construction and structural steel in all sizes
- Suitable for construction, agriculture, energy, and maritime sectors
